Vintage Fire hydrant - Marked Phila PA Mathews W.S. - Believed to be a 1-tier bonnet, 2 piece barrel Model: M-62, Nozzles: 2x 2½", 1x ~5", Size: ~6" V.O., Dated: 1983 - This was actually made by Kennedy Valve after they bought out R. D. Wood. Bunting Note: Around 1871 Samuel R.C. Mathews took his hydrant business to the R.D. Wood Co., now located in Philadelphia, PA. Much later, R.D.
