In 1966 they were recalled and are no longer in circulation, Scarce Barr Note-Joseph Walker Barr was the U.S. Treasury Secretary from December 21, 1968 to January 20, 1969 during the Lyndon Johnson Presidency. Barr held the shortest therm of any Treasury Secretary when he resigned, only $1.00 notes were printed with his signature, located on the bottom right. 1976 Bicentennial $2 Note was released by the U.S. Treasury to celebrate our 200th anniversary of American Independence and freedom.
