Hand Wrought Copper and Forged Bronze Framed California Art Pottery, Hand Incised Tile, 17"x9" mid 20th Century.

HAND WROUGHT COPPER AND FORGED BRONZE FRAMED California Art Pottery hand incised tile, measuring 17” x 9”, mid-20th Century.  Excellent original condition.

Decorated with a beautiful male peacock in a Garden Setting, Spreading out his full tail of stylized Eye feathers, all hand-incised in Olive Green and Brown colors.

The tile features to large and looming over with Large bending  Eucalyptus Leaves creeping into a masterfully bronze scroll Cover with curved arched scrolled top and long poles on each side, with twisted forged legs ending in scolded feet. Reminiscent of a beautiful English Morris style and Crafts stately outside Iron Gazebo or stone garden landscape with carvings.

Custom made by renowned Bushier and Son, this handsome tile has extremely detailed hand-scrolled metal with complete folios topping the peacock and encasing the tile.

Provenance:  Acquired from a retired L.A. celebrity collector of period Arts and Crafts Movement objects.
